Cultural Outing

The Grévin museum was founded in 1882 to let the public put a face to famous names. Its appeal has not been lessened by the rise of mass media. Its waxwork statues bear an astonishing resemblance to the originals. Take a selfie with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Barack Obama or even Le Petit Prince.

The museum has around 200 statues on display and includes an exhibition revealing the secrets of how they are made. Another surprising cultural attraction in the 9th is the Fragonard Perfume Museum, just a stone’s throw from Opéra Garnier. The museum is housed in a stunning building, formerly the Eden theatre. It presents all the stages of perfume-making, from harvesting to composition, through extraction and distillation. There is also an exhibition of objects involved in perfume-making: smelling boxes, hand blown glass flasks, pots-pourris…

A surprising visit, and free to visitors too! In the evenings, you’ll be spoilt for choice, with a wide range of concert halls and theatres near our hotel in the 9th arrondissement. Book a gig at Olympia, the oldest working concert hall in Paris, a musical at the Mogador theatre, a play at Saint-Georges theatre, the latest review at the Moulin Rouge or the latest production at the Folies Bergère.
